Asatoma was born from a simple vision: to create a space where conscious food choices meet real community. Here in the heart of Xaghra, Gozo, we've slowly transformed our garden into a place where people can gather, learn, and share wholesome meals cooked from scratch around long, shared tables.

When we first dreamed of using this space for shared meals and connection, we were really sowing a vision. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving garden alive with laughter, food, and friendship. Our approach is simple: no effort, no stress — just a place that feels nourishing and grounding, where children dig in the soil, harvest tomatoes and herbs, and then taste the same ingredients a few hours later on their plates.

Behind it all it is just the two of us: Josh in the kitchen, cooking as your chef and turning whatever the garden offers into vibrant, comforting plates; and Cri gently holding the threads of PR, communication, and accounts, making sure every message, booking, and detail feels as lovingly cared for as the food itself.

Food that Grows with the Seasons

Every dish we prepare is made with seasonal, local ingredients, prioritising organic produce whenever possible. We work closely with farmers and growers in Gozo and Malta, making sure our food not only tastes good but also supports our community.

By reducing packaging, food miles, and waste, we try to let each menu reflect what the land is offering at that moment — from the soil, to our kitchen, to your table.

Rooted in Community & Care

From our weekly Kids Gardening Club to intimate supper clubs and retreat catering, we're committed to making conscious food accessible, joyful, and down‑to‑earth. Some people join us for a meal in the garden; others invite our food into their homes.

Either way, you can trust that every bite is prepared with love and intention, simmered slowly in our kitchen and inspired by the real stories and gatherings we share on Instagram.
