The Magic of Homemade Organic Vegetable Stock πΏπ²

VEG STOCK !!! Your stock pot is the secret to transforming simple ingredients into a culinary delight. Forget store bought stuff ... a homemade organic vegetable stock is your ticket to a soup game that's not only flavourful but also genuinely good for you.
This Week's Highlight is our CARROT & KARFUS SOUP

Why Make Your Own?
β Pesticide-Free: Organic veggies mean no chemical nasties in your stock.
β Nutrient-Rich: More vitamins and minerals from organic produce, boosting the health factor of your soups.
β Custom Control: You decide what goes in, keeping out high sodium, MSG, and other unwanted additives.
Here's a very simple recipe on how to make your own veg stock:
~ Organic vegetable scraps or whole veggies (carrots, onions, celery, leeks, garlic, mushrooms)
~ Fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, bay leaves)
1οΈβ£ Wash, but no need to peel if organic. Chop into large pieces or use scraps for sustainability.
2οΈβ£ Add veggies to a pot with just enough water to cover.
3οΈβ£ Toss in a pinch of salt, peppercorns, and herbs.
4οΈβ£ Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1-2 hours. The longer, the richer the flavour.
5οΈβ£ Cool a bit, then strain through a fine mesh sieve.
β¨Cool completely before refrigerating. Keeps in the fridge for a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
